CHT Australia – Environmental Site Assessment (Detailed Site Investigation)
Elliott Road, Dandenong South, Victoria
To help them understand their General Environmental Duty (GED) and Duty to Manage (DtM) obligations in the context of potential site divestment, CHT Australia required an environmental site assessment (ESA) to be undertaken at their chemical manufacturing facility in Dandenong South.
The scope of work for the detailed site investigation (DSI) included a site history desktop review plus soil and groundwater investigation and risk assessment.
The DSI confirmed that the Site does not meet the definition of contaminated land as per section 35 of the Environment Protection Act 2017.
Refer to our blog post for more detail on what an ESA is and the circumstances under which you might need to do one.
